Review by hotel critic
During our recent family vacation at Royal Residence 1901, I was pleasantly surprised by the unique charm of the place. The beautifully restored old furniture added a nostalgic touch, embodying the history of the building, which I found fascinating as a wildlife conservationist who appreciates historical authenticity. The location was incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the bustling central square and close to the railway station. We often ventured out to explore nearby attractions, including the stunning Peleș Castle. I found it refreshing to return to our cozy apartment after a day of skiing and adventure. The kids loved the spacious bedroom and the sofa bed, which made settling in for the night easy after our daily outings. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare family meals, enhancing the home-away-from-home feel. One of the highlights was the balcony, where we enjoyed a spectacular view of the New Year fireworks—a perfect way to end our trip.
